The story follows recovering alcoholic Darlene Hagan who is still not out of the disappearance of her daughter 20 years ago.

She is now preparing to host her family’s Christmas celebration again with the help of her friend and neighbor, Gretchen.

Late Christmas Eve, Darlene’s estranged ex-brother-in-law, Jack arrives unannounced, bearing nostalgic gifts and a heavy secret.

The Apology hits the theaters and on AMC+ on December 16th 2022.

What unravels next is a violent game of revenge to bring fear to the Holiday Season.
