God of War: Ragnarok Crosses 11 Million Copies Sold Mark

Santa Monica Studio, the developer of the hit action game “God of War: Ragnarok,” announced that the title has achieved a new sales milestone with 11 million copies sold across PS4 and PS5. The studio expressed gratitude to the fans for their support.

The game set a record in 2022 as the fastest-selling first-party PlayStation title, with 5 million copies sold in its first week. While the sales number is impressive, it is hard to gauge the game’s commercial success without knowing the production and marketing costs.

Though “Ragnarok” has performed well, Santa Monica Studio has no plans for post-launch DLC and instead introduced a Photo Mode in December. The game still has a long way to go to reach the sales of 2018’s “God of War,” which sold over 23 million copies, including its launch on PC. “Ragnarok” has not yet been announced for PC, but if it does come to the platform, it may not be for another year.

If Reports Are To Be Believed Logan Director James Mangold is in Discussion to Direct Swamp Thing

James Mangold, the director of “Logan,” is reportedly in negotiations to direct a movie about the DC hero, Swamp Thing.

The film, which will be part of the wider DC Universe, was recently announced as part of the upcoming slate of DC Universe films, along with reboots of Superman and Batman. In a video announcement, James Gunn, the Co-CEO of DC Studios, described the film as a “very dark horror story” and an origin story for the character.

Swamp Thing, a less well-known DC hero, was created by Len Wein and Bernie Wrightson and gained recognition through an influential run in the early ’80s by Alan Moore and artists Stephen Bissette and John Totleben.

James Mangold is perhaps best known for Logan, a bleak sci-fi epic starring an older and cynical Wolverine. He also directed the upcoming sequel Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and is all set to direct a Bob Dylan biopic starring Timothée Chalamet titled A Complete Unknown.

WoW Trading Post Unveils A New Way For Players To Buy Items With Monthly Inventory Update

Blizzard has added a new store to its MMORPG World of Warcraft called the Trading Post.

Players can new buy mounts, pets, and gear using Trader’s Tenders, the store’s own currency. To earn tenders, players can either log in to the game and receive 500 tenders per month or complete the monthly resetting Traveler’s Log Task for an extra 500 tenders.

The location of the Trading Post depends on the player’s faction, with Alliance players going to the Mage District in Stormwind and Horde players going to the Grommash Hold in Orgrimmar.

The inventory of the Trading Post rotates monthly, with some items, like mounts, staying for up to three months. Despite its recent release, the Trading Post feature has received criticism for requiring players to play for a full year to unlock certain items. Blizzard has not yet responded to this feedback.
