New Transformers: Rise of the Beasts Trailer Teases Arrival of Unicron

In the latest trailer for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Optimus Primal, the leader of the Maximals, warns Optimus Prime that “darkness has found us again” after centuries of hiding. But it’s not just about the Maximals, as “this is about the fate of all living things. Unicron is coming,” says Primal. The trailer reveals that this installment in the Transformers franchise takes place in 1994 and highlights the high stakes. It also introduces the film’s human lead, Noah Diaz, portrayed by Anthony Ramos, who forms a relationship with Pete Davidson’s Mirage. Dominique Fishback plays the artifact researcher Elena Wallace, who suggests that there may be another way to save their home. The trailer also showcases a massive battle between the Maximals and the Predacons, including Scorponok-like enemies. The movie, directed by Steven Caple Jr., will hit theaters on June 9.
